Tyler Johnston chosen as VU Trailblazer tennis coach

Vincennes University has named Tyler Johnston as its new tennis coach, replacing Ron Albers who led the Trailblazer tennis program for 34 years before retiring last spring.
Johnston comes to VU after serving as the director of junior tennis development and assistant director of adult development for the Wilmington Area Tennis Association in Wilmington, OH. He has also worked in the Wilmington City Schools’ high school and junior high athletic department.

VU completes recruiting class with Cory Thomas’ signing; Louisville product was Kentucky’s No. 3 scorer

The Vincennes University Men’s Basketball Team has completed its recruiting class for 2014-15 by signing Coryontez “Cory” Thomas, the third-leading high school scorer in the state of Kentucky last season.
Thomas, a 6-1, 180-pound combo guard from Fairdale High School in Louisville who brings VU’s roster to 15 players, averaged 26.4 points, 7.7 rebounds and 2.8 assists per game for the Bulldogs.

Coming off a 2013 season in which the Vincennes University Men’s and Women’s Cross Country Teams both turned in top-15 finishes at the NJCAA Div. I National Cross Country Championships, the 2014 Trailblazer squads enter this season with high expectations plus legitimate potential to even exceed that outlook.
