VU Trailblazer Cross Country stays in Top-20 in both polls; Week off prompts slight drop for VU teams

Following an idle week with no meets, the Vincennes University Cross Country Teams maintained positions in the season’s Week 3 NJCAA Hill-N-Dale Rankings. The rankings came out Thursday afternoon.
The Trailblazer women slipped from 12th last week to No. 15, while the VU men are at No. 19 after being the 16th-ranked squad a week ago.
On the men’s side, Central Arizona climbed into the top spot from Week 2’s No. 2 position. In the women’s poll, Iowa Central remained in the top slot, while Central Arizona is the runner-up.

VU Golf 2nd in own invitational; Runner-up effort continues solid VU fall season play

MONTGOMERY – The Vincennes University Golf Team finished as runner-up in its own VU Invitational, held Saturday and Sunday at Country Oaks Golf Course in Montgomery.
Rend Lake won the event with a team score of 593. VU finished at 603, while Cincinnati State (618), Lincoln Trail (640), Kaskaskia (647) and IU-East (659) followed. Rend Lake’s Dalton Korte was also the individual medalist with a two-round score of 144 after winning a playoff over Cincinnati State’s Taylor Suggs.
