VU Golf wins Region 12 championship; Trevor Grant earns event’s medalist honors in leading VU

MIDDLETOWN, Ohio – Trevor Grant won medalist honors and the Vincennes University Golf Team captured the NJCAA Div. III Region XII Golf championship over the weekend at Weatherwax Golf Course in Middletown, OH.
Grant finished with an 8-over-par 224 (75, 72, 77) to edge out Cincinnati State’s Austin Kyle and Matt Nickoson, who tied for second at 10-over-par 226. Grant’s performance also spearheaded a strong Trailblazer effort as a team when VU carded a three-round score of 915. The Trailblazers topped host Cincinnati State (944) and Schoolcraft (947).

VU Golf Team fifth at Rose-Hulman Invitational; Ryan Reedy ends up in 6-way tie for 10th place

TERRE HAUTE – Sophomore Ryan Reedy finished in a six-way tie for 10th place and the Vincennes University Golf Team was fifth at the Rose-Hulman Invitational over the weekend in Terre Haute.
Transylvania University won the event with a two-round team score of 594 (+18), while Franklin College finished second at 600 (+24). Hanover College (611; +35) and De Pauw (614; +38) claimed the third and fourth place spots ahead of the Trailblazers. VU’s team score was 616 (+40).

VU Golf in 7th place after first day of Rose-Hulman Invitational; Play continues Sunday

TERRE HAUTE - The Vincennes University Golf Team sat in seventh place at the end of the first day of play Saturday at the Rose-Hulman Invitational.
Transylvania University was in first place with a team score of 295 (+7) and VU had a score of 316 (+28), one stroke ahead of Rose-Hulman.
Individually, VU's Ryan Reedy and Trevor Grant were in a seven-way tie (78; +6) for 28th place at end of play Saturday.
Play continues Sunday.
