Agreement creates Region 24 match-ups for VU Women’s Basketball; Pact also places Trailblazer Women in Region 24 Tournament

An agreement has been reached between Vincennes University and the nine Div. I women’s basketball programs in the NJCAA’s Region 24 to host home-and-home dates during the 2014-15 and 2015-16 seasons, as well as adding VU to the NJCAA Region 24/District 16 Tournament lineup.

VU inks two players from North/South Indiana All-Star Classic's South roster

Two members of the 2014 Indiana North/South All-Star Classic’s South Girls team made their commitments official to play for Vincennes University in 2014-15 when they signed their national letters of intent during Saturday activities at the VU P.E. Complex prior to Sunday's games.
Anderson forward Chelsea Bentley and Owen Valley guard Alicia Wilson inked the letters with Bentley’s parents, Albert and Amy, and Wilson’s coach, Todd York, looking on. VU Coach Harry Meeks and one of the Trailblazers’ assistant coaches, Millie Crenshaw, also joined the pair at the signing.

Kalenta named 3rd-Team All-American after season of double-doubles

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Vincennes University sophomore forward Anya Kalenta was named a NJCAA Div. I Women’s Basketball Third-Team All-American when the honored players were released earlier today from the NJCAA Headquarters in Colorado Springs, CO.
The First- and Second-Team All-American squads each contained 10 players, and VU Coach Harry Meeks said Kalenta’s name not being included on either of those rosters is puzzling.
