The 2011 VU Scramble for Hoops Golf Outing – an event on the VU Trailblazer Golf Tour – will be Thursday, Sept. 29, at the Country Club of Old Vincennes.
The event benefits the Ernie Marlow Memorial Basketball Scholarship. Throughout the years, thousands of students have attended VU through Marlow Memorial scholarships and the fund’s administrators strive each year to increase the monetary resources that assist students in starting and continuing their education.

Vincennes University has announced that VU and University of Evansville alumnus Joseph Haan has been named the VU athletic department’s certified athletic trainer.

Haan, from Owensboro, KY, accepted the position after a nationwide search that cultivated a wealth of applications from very qualified candidates. Athletic Director Harry Meeks said Haan stood out with qualifications and an approach to the job that closely mirrored the Trailblazer programs’needs, thanks to extensive work in all areas of the athletic training field.
